All the RFID goodness

 

With all the bad press and word-of-mouth for RFID chips, you know the industry had to strike back. So now there is a Web site called RFID Lowdown which has a long list of RFID goodness.

 

Projected uses include a robot and all your stuff. All your stuff has been tagged with RFID chips, and the robot has been programmed so that all your stuff has a place to be. It roams your home returning out of place stuff to its correct bin as you follow along yelling, "I'm not *through* with my beer yet!"

 

Replacing stamps with RFID chips which know where the letter is to go and when to cancel itself. (To say nothing of knowing who bought it and where it was used. Buh-bye, Unabombers.)

 

Smart medicine cabinets that monitor your drug intakes. Hello, THX-1138.

 

Wander-proof bands for those suffering with dimentia or from a disagreement with your government.
