RFID passports issued for US citizens beginning today

Order your Faraday cage now

The US begins issuing passports with RFID cards inside as of today, and the Faraday cages are already on sale. You can get Hello Kitty passport wallets for a couple of thousand yen apiece or a set of four for about 5,000 yen.

If Hello Kitty is too, uh, er, not mature enough for you, here are directions to build a faraday cage in your clothes (pardon me, but is that a faraday cage in your pocket?).

Or you can buy the patented emvlope to shield all your RFIDs for US$15, or a nice shielded leather wallet for US$35.

If the wallet is too small, consider a purpose-made passport cover in red, black, and tan from the well-named DIFRwear, makers of find faraday-caged apparel (according to their Web site.

Last, and least, there is always aluminum foil.
