You may recall a recent news story about airline employees using their work ID badges to avoid screening and to board aircraft with marijuana and handguns. One helpful employee put a photo of himself in an airplane cockpit showing his handgun. The two employees who were arrested had a duffel bag containing 8 pounds of pot and 14 guns on a flight from Florida to Puerto Rico.

These men were "trusted" employees with federal background checks. The TSA said that at no time were the passengers in danger, a quote which is true since the purpose of the employee was to smuggle the drugs and guns for use at a destination, not on board the plane.

So let's think about the trusted passengers who get miminal screening at the airport so they can board the plane faster. No, never mind - let's don't think about that.
