ProMED is a site I recently discoverd that purports to track outbreaks of infectious diseases and toxins. There's an International Society for Infectious Diseases which runs ProMED.
The Web page has hot news for the day as well as ongoing reports on avian flu and anthrax. I have no idea how long the page will continue to monitor avian flu and anthrax, but my guess is they list recent hot-button topics in the news. They also have a section for correcting errors in previous reports, which I consider important.
The site is searchable, so I took a look for dengue fever. This turned up a hundred items. I narrowed the search to dengue fever and Martinique; this turned up a dozen articles, many of which mentioned Martinique in passing as a place where dengue fever has occurred. There was nothing current.
In addition to searches, the site offers links to alerts, maps of outbreaks, and a calendar of events (meetings and conferences).
