British e-Passport cloned in five minutes

 

So fast you won't even know your passport was borrowed.

 

This BBC article tells how it was done. So while we're keeping the riffraff and terrorist out of our country, your identity will take a hike.

 

The stunning quote in the article is not the news that British RFID passports can be cloned so quickly, but this:

 

 

The UK Home Office however dismissed the ability to get hold of the information on the chip. A spokesman said: "It is hard to see why anyone would want to access the information on the chip."
